ABSTRACT
This study was carried out on the analysis of the effect of reinforced concrete on safety of residential building in Owerri west LGA Imo State. Specifically, the study aims to iassess the extent at which concrete is used on residential buildings in Owerri west LGA Imo State, examie the effect of reinforced concrete on safety of residential building in Owerri west LGA Imo State and analyze factors that contribute to safety of residential building in Owerri west LGA Imo State. The study employed the survey descriptive research design. A total of 141 responses were validated from the survey. From the responses obtained and analyzed, the findings revealed that Reinforced concrete have an effect on safety of residential building in Owerri west LGA Imo State. The study thereby recommend that Consultants should make drawing with all necessary derails as required for build ability. Drawings and specifications provided must be clear, concise and uniform. Moreover, the consultants should carry out proper supervision during construction phase when a building construction is under their supervision.
